WWE had a buzzing week following TLC and the build towards Survivor Series has already started. What were the top five booking decisions creative got right for this week?
WWE wasted little time building towards the upcoming Survivor Series PPV. The annual extravaganza will once again be a showdown between the brands. Raw and SmackDown will compete in Champion Vs. Champion matches and men’s and women’s traditional Survivor Series elimination matches. Though most of the matches are scheduled between heels from both sides, there is no reason to believe some of those titles could change hand before the PPV.
Team Blue fired the first shots this week by invading Raw. Shane McMahon rallied his roster and had a stern message for Kurt Angle and the entire Raw locker room. Though it seemed random and logically insane at first, creative ensured to take some baby steps to make it work. Shane noting how Styles was used as a Trojan Horse was a nice touch. So was him accusing Angle of undermining the talent from Tuesday nights.
There was a sense of an impending attack by the Red Team Tuesday night. But that did not happen, which is a good thing. But more on that later. Aside from the battle of the brands, a lot happened this week. We saw Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens finding out even more reasons to hate Shane McMahon and potentially screw SmackDown at Survivor Series.
Elsewhere, the tag division on the Blue brand delivered once more. Benjamin and Gable showed more heel antics and picked up an impressive win over the New Day. Breezango and Ascension delivered some more quality entertainment and the Bludgeon Brothers did what they normally do. With so much happening in two days, what were the best moments? What are the five times creative absolutely nailed their decisions? Here are my picks.
