WWE Raw Winners and Losers: Braun Strowman Respawns

1 of 3

Who were the big winners and losers on this week’s episode of WWE Raw?

After WWE Raw on Monday, there are a handful of superstars who are seeing their stock rise. Likewise, a couple of superstars look like they’ve hit a rough spot. A pro wrestler’s career is always full of peaks and valleys, but in WWE they get magnified because of the number of eyes on them at all times.

With that said, let’s take a look at some superstars on the move after Raw this week.

Winner: Braun Strowman

Let’s be real: if he’s on screen, Braun Strowman is almost guaranteed to be a winner. The Monster Among Men is one of the most unique superstars of WWE to show up in a long time. Seeing him literally respawn like a video game character and lay waste to the Miztourage was such a joy to watch.

But many fans may not be considering just what Strowman did here. Eight days prior to this week’s Raw, he was “Shredder’d” by his teammates at TLC – thrown into the back of a garbage truck and compacted like yesterday’s trash. And here he is rising from the rubble like a dang Terminator, sprinting across the top of a limo.

Once Strowman hit the ring, it was more destrucity (to borrow a phrase from the Ultimate Warrior). The entire Miztourage took a beating – especially Curtis Axel, who ate six running powerslams, the final one through the announce table.

Braun’s return was the top highlight of an overall great episode of Raw. It’s great to have the monster back.
