It’s been a great week for WWE SmackDown Live. Let’s take a look at the segments that really made everything shine.
It was a treat to watch this week’s edition of WWE SmackDown Live. Don’t you agree? After an overall disappointing showing last week, it was great to find the blue brand back in its regular form with a taut, well put together show.
It’s not just a question of entertaining segments, either. The opening match and main event were both quite good (though I feel giving Roode and Ziggler 5 to 6 more minutes would have put a classic into our hands). And in-between, the filling of this quality sandwich was well paced and entertaining.
But as much as the Rusev and New Day stuff was wonderfully crunchy, the segments involving the women on SmackDown was pretty bland. It’s been like this for a couple of weeks, it’s almost as if the writers don’t know how to give them the zippy dynamics that some of the male competitors get. I mean, Becky Lynch did a great job with some ridiculously average material but otherwise the women aren’t exactly shining bright.
But why am I talking about stuff I didn’t like? This is an article where I run down the best segments from SmackDown Live so this is what we should get into right? Right. Let’s go!
