WWE 5 Burning Questions: WWE Building Towards Shield Vs New Day?

1 of 6

What were the biggest questions left behind by the stars of WWE Raw and SmackDown Live this week?

WWE headed to the UK this week as both Raw and SmackDown Live aired from there this week. The Survivor Series card was shaken to the very core at the end of both premier shows. In what can only be described as a shocker, The Bar defeated The Shield to sign their tickets to Survivor Series. So Shields Vs The Usos has now become The Bar Vs The Usos. New Day’s conspicuous involvement in the title match may or may not amount to something more soon.

On Tuesday night though, the WWE clearly gave the fans a phenomenal gift. The expectation for everyone heading into Survivor Series was to be disappointed by Jinder Mahal Vs Brock Lesnar. Moreover, after AJ Styles’s title match with the Modern Day Maharaja was moved to Tuesday, it felt like Styles was being used as a scapegoat to put Mahal over. However, creative threw one final curve ball at us and it shattered the very core of the Survivor Series card. We now have a phenomenal main event pitting AJ Styles against Brock Lesnar in what could only be termed as a dream match.

Make Finn Balor the special guest referee and have Anderson and Gallows interfere to help Styles tame the Beast. That is all that I want for Christmas this year. I know Christmas is still a month out. But Styles defeating Lesnar and the reunion of the Bullet Club? Yeah I will spend the rest of Christmas season eating Oat Meal in exchange for that.

Another title match is set to take place next week on SmackDown Live as Charlotte takes on Natalya. Will we see another title change? Also, how long is Raw going to remain silent to all these invasions by SmackDown superstars and their subsequent insults? That and more questions fill up this week’s card for five burning questions from the week.
