On a week that altered the Survivor Series card drastically, what are the five things WWE creative got right?

WWE turned the heat on the Survivor Series card by ten fold this week. Both Raw and SmackDown Live provided unexpected moments and surprises to keep the audience engaged. Asuka and Sasha Banks made their presence felt and have been added to the Survivor Series team. On Tuesday, Becky Lynch grabbed a piece of history by taking on James Ellsworth and making him tap out.

Raw rounded up their Men’s team by adding Finn Balor, Samoa Joe and Jason Jordan to the mix. A team that already boasted Kurt Angle and Braun Strowman has now become even stronger. SmackDown responded by grabbing the ‘free agent’ John Cena as their fifth member. It’s a move that raises some questions regardless. Rusev or Tye Dillinger could have used the said spot to bring some relevance to themselves.

However, the biggest changes to the card were the new champions that were crowned over the week. The Bar defeated Rollins and Ambrose to capture the Raw tag titles and stole their spot on the Survivor Series card. This came as a result of a distraction by the New Day. Whether this leads to a possible match at the PPV between The Shield and the New Day remains to be seen.

The scheduled match of Champions where the WWE champion would take on the Universal Champion saw a last-minute twist too. AJ Styles defeated Jinder Mahal and ended his six month-long title reign. Styles will now go on to face the Beast Incarnate on November 19. With so much happening across multiple divisions and brands, what are the five instances that creative deserves praise?
