WWE Survivor Series 2017: 3 Reasons Why Styles Should Upset Lesnar

1 of 4

AJ Styles shocked the world and dethroned Jinder Mahal as WWE Champion. Now, will he go on to slay The Beast, Brock Lesnar, at WWE Survivor Series 2017?

The main event of WWE Survivor Series 2017, which pits the WWE Champion against the Universal Champion, was looking bleak. Brock Lesnar was scheduled to take on The Modern Day Maharaja, Jinder Mahal, who has been boring SmackDown Live fans ever since his sudden rise to the top of the brand.

The problem with Mahal is that no one saw him as a big star because he basically turned from jobber to champ over night. Even in the build up to their Survivor Series encounter, Paul Heyman treated Jinder as a joke and as someone undeserving of facing Brock.

Luckily for WWE fans everywhere, the announcement of a Styles vs. Mahal title match was announced for an episode of SmackDown Live. This was Styles’ chance to turn this lackluster main event into can’t miss action, and he did just that when he defeated Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship in Manchester.

SmackDown Live has always been the house that AJ Styles built, and now he has an opportunity to represent the blue brand as its champion as he takes on The Beast at Survivor Series.

Styles is an obvious underdog in this matchup, as Lesnar has taken out the likes of Goldberg, Samoa Joe, and Braun Strowman during his reign as Universal Champion, but here is why AJ Styles should come out of Survivor Series with a win over Brock Lesnar.
