4. Will Drew McIntyre drop the NXT title at TakeOver?

Before Survivor Series, NXT will hit the stands with TakeOver: WarGames on Saturday. The NXT title will be on the line when Andrade “Cien” Almas takes on the champion Drew McIntyre. McIntyre’s return to the developmental system after refining himself on the independent scene has been inspiring to the say the least. The man once knows as the “Chosen One” fought and clawed his way to the top of the brand. However, the sad part is that, his story has reached his climax at this point.

Almas on the other hand has been in the middle of a well deserved push that has catapulted him into title contention. With Zelina Vega by his side, Almas has been a focused and dangerous heel who could snatch the title away from McIntyre. With the rise of the Undisputed Era and all the fights between the champion and Adam Cole one would expect a showdown between these two in the future.

However, you can’t just forget about Almas. He can always pull an upset from out of nowhere. Nobody really expects the title to change hands at this moment. But given how under developed McIntyre’s character is at the moment, and seeing how hot Almas has been, a title change could happen. We have seen time and again that Vega isn’t afraid to put herself on the line to help Almas get a win. Expect some sparks to fly during the title match.
