WWE NXT put on quite the show in Houston, with TakeOver: WarGames and a special television episode. Who stood out from the third brand?
Normally, this is the point of the week where I give you the top five superstars in all of WWE, based on in-ring performance. But with a great TakeOver event, plus a stellar main event on the regular Wednesday episode, WWE NXT would have dominated that post. Not that it would be a bad thing, mind you.
Instead, because of the overall great quality of both TakeOver: WarGames and (most of) Survivor Series, this week NXT is getting its own list. Seven matches took place in NXT while the company was in Houston, with twenty-three superstars entering the ring for competition. From the opening match of TakeOver all the way through the end of the WWE United Kingdom Championship match, all eyes were on NXT.
So if there were enough great performances in NXT to warrant a separate post, who made the cut? It’s probably not too much of a surprise if you caught the shows this past week. But let’s not waste any more time on introductions.
