2. Drew McIntyre injured in title lost at NXT TakeOver

Drew McIntyre’s road back to the WWE could be made into a movie one day. His determination to reinvent himself, develop his craft around the world and finally make it back to the company made him a better performer, and all of the hard work paid off when he arrived on NXT earlier this year. But just months after capturing the show’s top prize, McIntyre’s career has hit another roadblock.

Not only did McIntyre drop the NXT Championship after an unusually short reign at NXT TakeOver: War Games, but he could now face a significant period of time on the sidelines.

While nothing has yet been confirmed, WWE.com reported on Saturday that McIntyre potentially suffered a torn bicep. That could sideline the now-former champ for a while.

It became apparent right away something was wrong. As Andrade “Cien” Almas celebrated his victory, McIntyre sat in the ring talking to a trainer.

Facing adversity isn’t a new challenge for the former Intercontinental Champion, though. Perhaps the next time we see him it’ll be on the main roster as opposed to an NXT return. McIntyre is already talented and experienced enough to make it as a top guy on either Raw or SmackDown.
