Just days removed from Survivor Series 2017 and Triple H seems to have his 2018 all booked up. By the end of the night, multiple paths were drawn for the King of Kings.
Triple H has been a staple of the WWE roster for 20 years. In the current fold, he now carries the title of Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative. As far as on screen is concerned he is the COO of the WWE and leader of The Authority. Triple H doesn’t get in the ring too often anymore, usually just for the big events or in a crisis as he did recently during a recent tour of Costa Rica. But Hunter always makes sure his dance card is full for the major shows. It looks as if his 2018 will be no different.
The last images of Survivor Series 2017 consisted of Triple H attacking Kurt Angle, then pinning his brother in law, Shane McMahon to deliver Team RAW the victory. Not knowing whether he could truly trust Triple H after what had played out, Braun Strowman would attack the COO. Choking Hunter in the corner to the point he looked as if he was about to pass out, then nailing two running powerslams all but guarantee Braun a date with The Game.
But Braun isn’t the only person leaving Survivor Series with a grudge to settle against the boss.
The current General Manager of RAW, Kurt Angle, has also had a feud brewing with The Authority. With mounting pressure from Stephanie McMahon and the heavy criticism of naming Jason Jordan to Team RAW, Angle was ready to crack. In the days leading to Survivor Series, Triple H would pedigree Jordan and name himself the final team member. As the match would progress the tension between Angle and Hunter could be felt but seemed controlled. Then as the match came to its final moments and Triple H attacked Kurt, the powder keg was lit.
With two major events in the near future, Triple H now has two big-name opponents on the map. Let’s take a look at what could be ahead for The Game.
