On the episode of WWE Raw, prior to Survivor Series, the Shield dropped the tag team titles to the Bar, thanks to a second invasion by SmackDown Live. This allowed the Shield to face – and defeat – the New Day at Survivor Series, but will Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins win the titles back?
All feels right in the WWE right now, because Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and Dean Ambrose reunited prior to TLC. They didn’t get to compete in a match together until Survivor Series, but they more than made our wait worthwhile.
Two weeks ago on Raw, Roman Reigns defeated The Miz for the Intercontinental Championship, becoming a Grand Slam Champ in the process. However, not all three members of the Shield have championship gold, because Ambrose and Rollins haven’t won the tag titles back from Sheamus and Cesaro yet.
The consensus belief is that the Shield will recapture the tag titles at some point, and Cageside Seats’s “Rumor Roundup” contains a note stating that the duo are expected to win the titles tonight in Los Angeles.
It would be a big moment in front of a big crowd, but perhaps the title victory is a little too obvious. Everyone expects the Bar to drop the titles, and there’s a feeling among fans that the Revival are on the return soon. A Shield vs. Revival feud would be ideal, especially if it’s for the Shield’s Raw Tag Team Titles.
Additionally, if the Bar retains, that leaves everything in a state of limbo. With Jeff Hardy injured, there’s no babyface tag team for the Bar to conceivably face, and a loss would leave Ambrose and Rollins in a strange place. I also believe the WWE would like to have all three members of the Shield holding titles, just as they did in the past when Rollins and Reigns were tag champs with Ambrose standing tall as the United States Championship.

A win tonight seems likely for the Shield, but I would hesitate to put all of my eggs in that basket. After all, the WWE loves a good swerve, especially these days.
