WWE Royal Rumble 2018: Predicting The Match Card After Clash Of Champions
By Dalton Quix
The last PPV has ended, which means that it is time to start looking forward towards WWE’s first PPV of 2018: The Royal Rumble. So, what will WWE Royal Rumble 2018’s match card consistent of?
Clash of Champions, a SmackDown exclusive PPV, was the last PPV of 2017, but it didn’t have all that much hype. This is because everyone is focused on the Road to WrestleMania, and the first stop is January 28th at the WWE Royal Rumble 2018.
Now that Clash of Champions is officially in the books, we can finally start to piece together a card for the Royal Rumble. While the PPV raised some questions regarding the whole Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon fiasco, it also raised questions as to what’s next for the blue brand’s champions.
Dolph Ziggler, despite just being thrown into the United States Championship match, came out victorious. So, who does he feud with next? Corbin? Roode? Will he even have a match on the Royal Rumble card?
The Usos had the tag division ON LOCK as they took down three other teams. Will any of those teams challenge them next, or will the dominant Bludgeon Brothers have the next shot at the titles?
Meanwhile, AJ Styles and Natalya closed their feuds by defeating Jinder Mahal and Natalya, respectively, and now they are looking for new competition to step up and challenge them for their thrones.
Also, we have to think of the Raw match ups on the card, too, since it is a brand inclusive PPV. Who will Brock Lesnar be defending his Universal Championship against? Who will step into The Big Dog’s yard? Will we have to suffer through another Enzo match??
Then, let’s not forget about the main event: the annual Royal Rumble match. What can we expect from this match and the other matches that could be on the card? Let’s take a look!
