Intercontinental Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Samoa Joe

Ever since Roman Reigns captured the Intercontinental strap from The Miz, he has had a weekly open challenge that has not disappointed so far. He has already defended the belt against the likes of Elias, Jason Jordan, and Cesaro in great matches, and he is ready for more.

However, there seems to only be one man on The Big Dog’s mind, and that is Samoa Joe. Joe has attacked Roman from behind, ambushed him, and caused his Shield brothers to lose a Raw Tag Team Championship match.

Roman wants Joe, but it seems like that feud is going to be extended a bit due to interjection of Jason Jordan and the involvement of The Shield and The Bar, too. So, we can expect a few more open challenge matches with Roman before he finally faces Samoa Joe.

I would expect Roman to defend against people like Sheamus, Apollo Crews, The Miz, and even a returning John Cena. Then, Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe will finally get to clash and steal the show at the Royal Rumble.

SmackDown Tag Team Championships: The Usos (c) vs. Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin

Once again, the tag teams of SmackDown Live stole the whole PPV thanks to the involvement of all of the incredible workers in the ring, especially The Usos. The Usos have been putting on match of the year candidates every time they step in the ring and Clash of Champions was no different.

The other teams in the ring held their own, too. We already knew The New Day could go after their feud with The Usos, and mismatched underdog team of Rusev and English impressed, too, with their false finishes. However, Gable stole the show as he took out everyone, no matter the weight, with nasty german suplexes before getting taken out by The Usos.

So, Benjamin and Gable, after their showing, have a gripe with The Usos and would likely want to extend their feud into the Royal Rumble. Benjamin and Gable could even garner more het\at as heel by defeating the white hot Rusev Day team to qualify for their Royal Rumble title match.

Then The Usos will once again put on a match of the night, and possibly of the year, with more than capable opponents in Benjamin and Gable.
