10. No Mercy

The return of the No Mercy pay-per-view after an eight-year hiatus came in 2016.  But as a Raw-exclusive pay-per-view in 2017, it was centered around two matches that were dubbed as WrestleMania quality encounters.

John Cena vs. Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar vs. Braun Strowman for the Universal Championship were the two driving forces of the event and while Cena vs. Reigns delivered, Lesnar vs. Strowman fell short of delivering what it could have been.  However, the rest of the card had positives as well.

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs. The Bar was arguably one of the best matches of the year, Finn Balor vs. Bray Wyatt was solid enough, and the Fatal 4-Way for the Raw Women’s Championship was solid as well.  But matches like Lesnar vs. Strowman and Neville vs. Enzo Amore took away some of the potential this pay-per-view had.

No Mercy did provide the WWE universe with some quality pro wrestling despite it not being perfect.  The good was really good though and led to some of the better matches of the year for the WWE.

The 2017-edition of No Mercy was a pretty good pay-per-view that was a small handful of matches away from being a potential pay-per-view of the year candidate.
