WWE: Ranking Brock Lesnar’s PPV Matches In 2017
The “Beast Incarnate” doesn’t defend the WWE Universal Championship frequently, but when Brock Lesnar does make an appearance on the pay per view, fans sure do take notice of his matches.
Brock Lesnar receives a huge amount of criticism from the WWE Universe for failing to appear on television as the champion frequently enough, and the fans also knock his lack of endurance in the ring. At the age of 40, Lesnar is clearly past the prime of his career as a wrestler, which is why he gets gassed during matches or needs to be protected in fast-paced multi-man bouts. That said, Lesnar still put together some classics in 2017.
Lesnar captured the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 33 after finally vanquishing Bill Goldberg, who defeated “The Beast Incarnate” at Survivor Series in mere minutes and also eliminated Lesnar at the Royal Rumble. Thereafter, Lesnar had feuds with Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman, and he’s expected to have a match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34.
Not counting live shows or dark matches on Monday Night Raw, Lesnar only had five matches on pay per view in 2017. Let’s take a look back at Lesnar’s 2017 (most of it spent as champion) and rank them from worst to first.
