Former WWE NXT superstar Hideo Itami is poised for a big push on 205 Live, but the newest member of the Cruiserweight Division may not be able to pick up future wins with his famous finishing maneuver, the “Go To Sleep”.
Cedric Alexander will take on Enzo Amore for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship next week on Monday Night Raw, and the opportunity has been a long time coming for Alexander, who is arguably the most talented member of the division right now.
But the newest member of the 205 Live roster, Hideo Itami, can also lay claim to being the most talented member of the purple-roped show. Itami picked up an impressive “squash” win over The Brian Kendrick on Raw this week, but the win came at a price.
Itami hit Kendrick with a brutal “Go To Sleep” to pick up the victory, and PWInsider.com’s Mike Johnson reported that TBK was sent to the hospital. We now know that Kendrick suffered a fractured orbital bone and nasal bridge as a result of the move.
A nugget in Cageside Seats’s “Rumor Roundup” states that there are reports that Itami has been banned from using the “Go To Sleep” (GTS) in future matches. On 205 Live, Itami defeated Kendrick’s partner, Jack Gallagher, but he picked up the victory with the “Rings of Saturn”. This was Neville’s finisher, which opens up speculation that Neville is indeed completely done with WWE.
Itami’s “Go To Sleep” is one of the most exciting moves in wrestling, and it’s a big part of his strike-heavy offense. He’s well-known for it, so we’ll see if it’s true that he’s lost the move. And if he is indeed no longer able to use it, will it affect how audiences react to him?

Hopefully Kendrick can make a speedy recovery, because for as disappointed as some might be that Itami won’t be able to use the GTS, it’s more disappointing to see that Kendrick has been injured badly because of the move.
