Not every WWE superstar starts their career as a bona fide main eventer, and it takes some time for many wrestlers to find their groove. Here are the five most improved superstars from 2017, and all five of them figure to be among the most important wrestlers in the company in 2018.

The WWE signs many of the best wrestlers in the world, and they also develop “homegrown” talent in the Performance Center. Most of these superstars debut on NXT and spend months there improving their craft before being called up to the main roster.

However, not all of these wrestlers are ready to shine once they get to the main roster, because the transition is difficult. Pro wrestling ain’t easy, and it takes time for many of these wrestlers to blossom into stars. But when the WWE sticks with someone, gets behind them, gives them the proper resources, and allows them to grind through it, they often end up with legitimate main players.

In this piece, I look at the top five most improved WWE superstars of 2017, and these wrestlers will look to make an even bigger mark in 2018. These superstars are already either champions or championship material, but they didn’t necessarily begin 2018 on that level.
