The first WWE Raw of 2018 gave us some incredible moments, and here are seven that are well-worth taking another look at.
We’re on the road to the Royal Rumble here in January, and the first episode of WWE Raw in 2018 was packed with memorable moments. Kane met Brock Lesnar face-to-face, Goldust wrestled with the Cruiserweights, and Finn Balor was finally involved in a couple of big moments during the show.
Raw is starting to pick up again, and here are seven moments from last night’s show that are worth taking a look at. Or, if you are like me, taking a second look at, because some of us just can’t get enough WWE action.
The Balor Club Reunites
For months, I kept getting, “Will the Balor Club reunite?” questions on Twitter, and many believed that putting Finn Balor back with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson would be the best way to book him going forward. Some fans, of course, would like Balor to be a heel, and while that may not be the most prudent thing to do, it is an option if he’s paired with the dastardly “Good Brothers”.
Last night, Balor joined forces with Gallows and Anderson, proclaiming that “The Boys are back in town” in a backstage interview with Mike Rome. This came after Balor won a six-man tag match against the Miztourage and Elias, who was once Balor’s rival.
The finishing sequence to that match? Balor hitting the Coup de Grace on Bo Dallas after the latter wrestler was hit with the “Magic Killer” tag team finisher.
On an action-packed show, nothing stood out more than Balor joining force with Gallows and Anderson, and seeing them celebrating backstage was #TooSweet indeed.
