On the first WWE Raw of 2018, it was the usual mix of good and bad. Here’s a few superstars who need to turn things around, including Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss.

As much as we’d all like to think everything is sunshine, roses, and kittens, sometimes people hit a rough patch. It’s no different for WWE superstars. Sometimes, they’re just in a funk. After WWE Raw this week, there’s a few superstars who fall into this category.

This isn’t to say there’s no hope for these particular superstars to come back to the promised land. It’s WWE – things can change in a heartbeat. But at the present, here are three superstars who are in need of a big boost in the coming weeks.

Alexa Bliss

Oh, poor Alexa. She didn’t pick up a single victory on Monday night, leaving her vulnerable for the first time in her championship reign.

The night started with Bliss tracking down Kurt Angle backstage before Raw went on the air. The Goddess tried to convince the GM that it was a bad idea to have her face Asuka in a non-title match. But Angle would have none of it. In fact, he basically told Alexa to count her blessings that it was a non-title match at all.

Just before the match with Asuka got under way, Alexa ran into Nia Jax backstage. Understandably, Bliss wanted her BFF to have her back at ringside. But Jax was on her way out of the arena, heading to visit a flu stricken Enzo Amore with some chicken soup. Bliss laid down an ultimatum to Nia – it’s either him or me. But love is in the air on Raw, and Nia left.

So Bliss was all by her lonesome to face Asuka, and it went about as well as you would expect. The Empress of Tomorrow put her educated feet to good use before finally locking in an armbar for the submission victory. For the participants involved, it wasn’t a particularly great match. Regardless, a champion losing a non title match – even to someone like the undefeated Asuka – is a bad look.
