What were the biggest questions the superstars of WWE Raw and SmackDown left in the ring this week?
WWE had a solid week on TV as both Raw and SmackDown Live continued to build towards the Royal Rumble. More matches have been added to the card, including the finals of the United States Championship tournament. It has been a long while since we have had a tournament with a meaningful outcome awaiting the winner. So exciting times are ahead everybody!
Monday night saw the formation of the Balor Club for the very first time in the WWE. Finn Balor teamed up with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson to take on Elias and the Miztourage. After months of being forced to waste time in underrated feuds, the trio looked rejuvenated and genuinely happy to be working together again.
We also saw the Big Red Machine Kane go toe to toe with Brock Lesnar. Kane’s placing in the title match is surprising to most fans. However, seeing as how easily Brock stood up from his trademark choke slam, one can only be happy about Finn Balor not being in the Universal title picture at this time.
On Tuesday though, things got even more interesting and twisted. AJ Styles, after losing one more match owing to outside interference and distractions, demanded a handicap match against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. The GM Daniel Bryan was not only quick to grand his wish, but also made it a WWE title match at Royal Rumble. It seems to be becoming increasingly evident that Bryan is working with Owens and Zayn. Or is he? That question will be answered by the time Royal Rumble hits us. There are, however other questions that need to be answered sooner. Here are my five burning questions for the week that passed by us.
