3. Becky Lynch Building Royal Rumble Momentum
The return of the Irish Lass Kicker Becky Lynch immediately excited the WWE universe and gave SmackDown’s women’s division a boost. The timing of her return was fitting as well with the Royal Rumble pay-per-view less than three weeks away.
Lynch’s return came after she was attacked backstage by The Riott Squad several weeks ago. She came back with revenge on her mind and has gotten the upper hand over the trio as of late. The same can be said last night in Lynch’s match with Ruby Riott.
After a pretty good battle, Lynch made Riott tap out to further her upper hand against the ones who took her out of action. But in the grand scheme of things, her win and return might be way more significant than what it appears to be with a historic night for women’s wrestling on the horizon at the Royal Rumble.
The first-ever all-women’s Royal Rumble match will be a monumental event, and the Irish Lass Kicker could be the favorite to win the whole thing. She hasn’t necessarily had the best direction over the past few months, so the best way to help fix that would be having Lynch win the Royal Rumble match and go on to WrestleMania 34 to battle for the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
The Lass Kicker is back in the saddle and has her sights set on making history at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
