We are only days away from WWE Royal Rumble 2018 as the road to WrestleMania gets an impactful starting point on Jan. 28.

At WWE Royal Rumble 2018, there will be two Royal Rumble match winners for the first time with the inclusion of the first-ever all-women’s Royal Rumble match.  Outside of the two big guns, the pay-per-view offers other captivating matches as well.

While the card still might not be solidified at this point, there are several superstars that could really benefit from a win at the Royal Rumble.  With that being said, let’s take a look at three superstars that need a win the most at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.

3. Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable

The team of Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable has emerged as a legitimate tag team title threat on Tuesday nights over the past few months.  The team’s in-ring work has always been stellar, but as of late, the character aspect of the team has taken a turn for the better as well.

It seemed a bit hard to get into this team given how many standout teams are on SmackDown, but lately, Benjamin and Gable have been improving across the board.  They have had a few shots at The Usos’ tag team titles, but have yet to capture the gold, including a loss that appeared to be a win at first glance in recent weeks.

Since then, Benjamin and Gable have taken on a bit of a conspiracy theory approach and a rematch was made at the Royal Rumble with The Usos for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, but this time in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match.  The pressure is on Benjamin and Gable to get it done this time because it could be their last shot at the gold.

They have gotten a few shots at The Usos’ gold already and have yet to capture the titles.  So, another loss to Jimmy and Jey at the Royal Rumble would likely end their quest at winning the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.  With how talented the blue brand’s tag team division is, another team will quickly rise to the challenge of going after the tag team titles with another Benjamin and Gable loss.

The impromptu team of Benjamin and Gable has built momentum over the past few weeks, but a tag team title win is needed at the Royal Rumble if they hope to remain a prominent force in the SmackDown tag team division.
