Impact Wrestling Looks to Set the Stage for Genesis on Pop Next Week

It’s one week before Genesis and Impact Wrestling put all their cards on the table tonight.  Taiji Ishimori and Dezmond Xavier battle over one of the most prestigious prizes in Impact’s history.  Ishimori put on a match of the year candidate a few weeks ago to bring in the new year and tonight he faces the man who beat him late last year.

Eli Drake continues to defend his Impact Global Championship all over the world.  Tonight, he battles Alberto El Patron and Johnny Impact at Border City Wrestling.  This isn’t the first time that Impact has had talent in the Detroit promotion.  All three of these men have been fighting for this championship for the better part of 2017 and they go at it again for the title they all covet.

The Latin American Xchange won the Impact Tag Team Championships a few weeks ago.  It’s a rivalry that has gotten personal since Ohio Versus Everything invaded the Crash Promotion during their reign as champions.  Impact takes away the ropes tonight and surrounds the ring with barbed wire.  It makes for a brutal encounter in the main event given the history between the groups.

Chandler Park is introduced to a monster by the name of Kongo Kong who looks to end his undefeated streak.  All of these matches can be seen on the Global Wrestling Network which has been a focal point on Impact Wrestling Shows recently.  With Genesis coming next week, this was set to be a stacked show.
