NJPW The New Beginning in Sapporo Day 1 Review
In the early hours of January 27th, I stayed up to watch NJPW The New Beginning in Sapporo Day 1. I was treated to an excellent wrestling show that is absolutely must see.
NJPW held their first major show since Wrestle Kingdom 12, and my goodness, did they ever deliver. The first few matches on the card served the purpose of warming up the crowd with some perfectly acceptable wrestling. The last half of the show knocked it out of the park with great matches and killer angles that left me wanting more. This was a nearly perfect wrestling show and is one that you should immediately go an watch.
If you have never read my reviews before, I like to give out star ratings for matches. The scale is a 5 star scale. A dud is a match that is 0. Sometimes, if the match is bad enough, I’ll give it below 0 stars with up to -5 stars being possible. These ratings are merely my subjective opinion, so I encourage you to watch the shows and give your own ratings in the comments below! Let me know what you think here or on Twitter, and I’ll be glad to discuss it with you.
So with that in mind, read on for my full review!
