3 Things The WWE Got Right: You can’t stop Braun Strowman

1 of 4

The road to WrestleMania has officially began in the WWE. What were the three things creative got right this week?

WWE continued to ride a wave of momentum from the historic Royal Rumble PPV that we witnessed. Both Raw and SmackDown Live began building towards their upcoming PPVs, Elimination Chamber and Fastlane respectively. After the historic Women’s Royal Rumble match, we learned this week that we will have the first ever Women’s Elimination Chamber match as well soon.

Raw spent much of its air time filling the card for the announced chamber match. As of now, Braun Strowman, Elias and John Cena have qualified for the brutal match. This will be Cena’s second Chamber match in two years as well. Most notable outcome from Monday night was how Finn Balor was left out of the chamber match, after losing to Cena. Perhaps there is an angle at play and a potential end game to Balor not getting his opportunity yet. Will he turn heel? Who knows at the moment.

On Tuesday though, we learned that either Sami Zayn or Kevin Owens would fight AJ Styles for the WWE title. The best friends will have to decide that by competing against each other. That announcement and the already visible cracks in their alliance paved the way of an okay episode of SmackDown. It was nowhere near as entertaining as Raw was. But that was largely due to the show focusing more on its midcard.

Which three moments from the week from the two premier shows created the best results though? What were the top three moments for which creative deserves a pat on the back? Here are my top picks.
