WWE Raw: Should Bray Wyatt Become #WOKEN?

Rather than feuding with #WOKEN Matt Hardy on WWE Raw, Bray Wyatt should be teaming with him.

When the Hardy Boyz shocked the WWE Universe at WrestleMania 33 by returning to the company and winning the Raw Tag Team Championships, they were performing as their old Team X-treme selves rather than under their white hot Broken gimmick from Impact.

This is because the Hardys were in a legal battle with Impact over who owns the intellectual properties of the gimmick. So, the Hardys were just running on nostalgia, and once Jeff got injured, Matt found himself in no man’s land and desperate for a change.

Luckily, Matt won his legal battle and all rights to his gimmick, so he was ready to become WOKEN. Bray Wyatt defeated Matt on a regular episode of Raw where Matt finally snapped. Woken Matt Hardy let out his “delete!” chants and unleashed his wonderfully weird promos and laugh in a budding feud with Wyatt.

The transformation was finally complete when Matt got new entrance music and a delightful titantron. However, his feud with Wyatt and new persona has sort of fallen flat in the WWE landscape.

Wyatt has also been floundering before this feud on the main roster. Ever since his WrestleMania 33 loss to Randy Orton and transition from SmackDown to Raw, he has been lost in the shuffle and on the losing end of most feuds.

In this new rivalry, Matt has taken loss after loss to Wyatt and has gotten little crowd support, but he did receive one huge pop at the Royal Rumble. When Hardy entered the match, many assumed a face off with Bray would lead to the two butting heads and eliminating each other.

Instead, the two decided to work together to take down foes and the crowd erupted at the thought of them as allies…then they went back to butting heads and eliminating each other.

So, rather than having these two continue a feud that’s dead in the water, why not spice things up and have these two join forces? Both their in ring styles and gimmicks complement each other perfectly, and the Raw tag team division is pretty weak at the moment, so they would be a huge addition.

They could be able to work as faces or heels depending on how the angle works out, and the kinds of feuds they’d be able to put on with The Revival or The Bar could provide some hilarious entertainment and even better matches.

Then, the angle could continue to grow with the return of Jeff Hardy. Returning as the charismatic enigma, Jeff could try to bring Matt back into the “light” and away from the hands of Bray Wyatt. But, I️ think we all know that at the end of the day, Brother Nero will fade away and classify himself as OBSOLETE.

A faction of three WOKEN warriors could then turn Raw upside down and create feuds with The Miztourage, Bálor Club, and The Shield. So, pull the trigger, WWE! Give us the team of WOKEN Matt Hardy and WOKEN Wyatt!
