WWE SmackDown 5 Best Segments: Main Event Stands Out

Charlotte vs Sarah Logan and Sami Zayn vs. Dolph Ziggler were among the highlights of WWE SmackDown.
Let me speak frankly, I did not enjoy this episode of SmackDown Live. I spent most of the episode resisting the urge to change the channel to the Winter Olympics or the Cleveland Cavs vs. Oklahoma City Thunder game (I failed several times). Honestly, I haven’t enjoyed SmackDown Live for quite some time. At best, the show has been “meh”. At worst, it’s been a complete waste of time.
Most weeks, the matches are thrown together on a whim and ultimately don’t matter–although that’s a WWE problem in general. The announcers get on my last nerve. The non-wrestling segments serve no purpose other than to “entertain” the crowd (I thought that’s what the matches were for). Worst of all, the main event picture isn’t about the WWE Championship (you know, the MOST PRESTIGIOUS CHAMPIONSHIP IN THE COMPANY), but rather the two authority figures, Commisioner Shane McMahon and General Manager Daniel Bryan. It’s almost as if the people writing the show have never watched a sporting event before.
But I don’t want to get all doom and gloom here. That’s what Twitter is for. I’m here to bring light to the top five segments from This week’s SmackDown Live, as flawed as they were. Here they are…
