3. Bobby Roode, Randy Orton, Jinder Mahal Segment

The United States Championship has become glorious as of late with the emergence of Bobby Roode as champion.  In addition to Roode as champion, other potential challengers have risen for the U.S. Championship as well.

On the Feb. 6 edition of SmackDown, Roode successfully retained his title against Rusev before Randy Orton hit him with an RKO outta nowhere.  This appeared to be a sign of things to come with The Viper potentially challenging Roode for the U.S. Championship sometime in the future.  Last night continued on that theme, but added another potential challenger as well.

Roode was set to have a U.S. Open Challenge and wanted the opponent to be Orton.  But just as Orton hit the ring, Jinder Mahal came out and tried his hardest to get under the skin of Orton.  He would eventually be cut off as a bit of chaos ensued, but Mahal was the one standing tall after laying out both The Glorious One and The Viper.

As a whole, this segment was pretty good with every superstar getting solid moments on the mic.  It appears as if the WWE universe could be ready to see a Triple Threat Match for the U.S. Championship maybe at Fastlane featuring Roode, Orton, and Mahal.  The WWE might be saving a one-on-one match between Roode and Orton for another show, like maybe WrestleMania 34.

The U.S. Championship picture is solid right now and last night’s segment helped solidify that statement.
