WWE WrestleMania 34: Seth Rollins vs. Kurt Angle Possible?
Last night on Raw we learned that Jason Jordan will miss extended time after a recent neck surgery that will keep him out of action at WWE WrestleMania 34. This was a big blow to Seth Rollins as he had recently been involved in a major storyline as Jordan’s partner. The storyline between Jordan and Rollins looked to be heading in the direction of a split and feud that would culminate at WrestleMania in a high-profile match between the two.
Rollins was immediately inserted into the Second Chance Fatal 4-Way later in the night, making it a 5-Way match to determine the final participant in the Elimination Chamber.
The Fatal 5-Way match ended in controversial fashion as both Finn Balor and Seth Rollins pinned Bray Wyatt at the exact same time. Raw ended this week with both men standing tall in the ring together with confused referees, fans, and commentators asking what this all means.
My guess is that next week on Raw we get Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor in a one-on-one match to decide who will go on to the Elimination Chamber. My prediction is that Finn Balor will get the win, possibly with the help of his Balor Club good brothers.

If there’s no place for Rollins in the Elimination Chamber and there’s no Jason Jordan for him to feud with, there’s seemingly no place for him on the WrestleMania card. This is baffling to think considering that less than one year ago Seth was slaying “The King of Kings” Triple H at the “Grandest Stage of Them All”.
But then I put something together… Kurt Angle is the Raw GM as well as Jason Jordan’s “father”. If something happens to cost Rollins his match against Balor, it will have happened under Angle’s watch. A feud between Rollins and Angle would be easy to build because Rollins can be upset at Kurt for letting him get “screwed” out of another opportunity and he can also play the favoritism card for how Kurt has treated Jordan.

It was heavily rumored that we would see Kurt Angle vs. Triple H at WrestleMania but that no longer seems like the plan with Hunter most likely being involved in a match with Stephanie McMahon and Ronda Rousey. Kurt is going to need a “dance partner” at ‘Mania and I can’t think of anyone that can make sure that he looks great more than Seth Rollins.
Sure, Angle hasn’t looked amazing in the ring since his WWE return but he really doesn’t have to against a guy like Seth that can work a great match with anybody. If you need proof of that, check out his Night of Champions match against Sting. Sting looked incredibly past his prime but Rollins was still able to make the match entertaining.
I also think that a storyline between Seth Rollins and Kurt Angle could be the opportunity that Seth needs to make another heel turn which I think he could definitely use. Rollins was at the top of his game when he was a heel WWE Champion with a cocky attitude. I’d love to see that return.
If it were up to me, I’d pair Rollins back up with J&J Security (or a similar stable of lackeys) to help him cultivate more crowd heat as well as different ways to win matches in an underhanded manner. With Ambrose out with an injury and Reigns most likely challenging Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title at WrestleMania, Rollins won’t have The Shield behind him so he could really use some backup with factions like the Balor Club and the Miztourage using the numbers game to their advantage.

We are indeed on the road to WrestleMania and I think that Kurt Angle vs. Seth Rollins is the right match for both guys at the biggest show of the year.
