WWE: Nia Jax Needs to Move to SmackDown Following Elimination Chamber

Being the only female monster heel on Raw (in the company really) is not going to be a believable spot for Nia Jax.  She will not be going over on Asuka at WWE Elimination Chamber, and Ronda Rousey is about to congest the Raw women’s division.  If Jax is going to eventually be the believable monster heel we want her to be, a change of scenery is in order.

This cannot be the most jubilant time to be a member of the Monday Night Raw women’s division.  Not only is Asuka untouchable at the moment, but they are about to be joined by Ronda Rousey, who is potentially going to be the female version of Brock Lesnar.

Competitors like Sasha Banks and Bayley are safe due to being beloved.  However, if you’re Nia Jax, it is time to seek life elsewhere.

It’s not as if Jax was setting the world on fire on WWE Raw, anyway.  She entered into meaningful feuds with the likes of Sasha Banks and Alexa Bliss, but was never really booked to appear dominant over them.

She has frequently lost clean, which is the antithesis of what should happen (often, anyway) to a character portraying a monster heel.  Her credibility on the show is down, and she is about to lose to Asuka at Elimination Chamber and will be joined by Ronda Rousey.  The “Land of Opportunity” being led by Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon seems to be just what she needs.

SmackDown Live truly has been a brand where one can be reborn.  After becoming rather vanilla and being cursed with being closely associated with Roman Reigns (you know, because that’s a bad thing…somehow), The Usos went to SmackDown and have since re-established themselves as the top tag team in the company, if not the world.

Chad Gable has survived losing his partner due to Kurt Angle’s forgotten misuse of a prophylactic, and has re-emerged alongside Shelton Benjamin as the snarky gym rat we all love to hate.  Sami Zayn may be SmackDown’s Exhibit A of being the “Land of Opportunity”, as he has become a focal figure in the show’s WWE Championship scene.

Wait…I’m sorry.  Zayn is Exhibit B, because I have two words for all of you: Jinder. Mahal.  Need I say more?

Each of these competitors were creatively dead in the water when a part of the opposite show, which is going to be Nia Jax’s destiny if he stays immersed in the Monday Night Raw women’s division.  This is not due to a lack of talent.  Her look is fantastic, and she is extremely mobile for being a monster heel.  She is not, however, Asuka or Ronda Rousey….but nobody.  She also is not as established as the likes of Banks and Bayley.  It’s time for Bryan and Shane to work another one of their miracles.
