WWE WrestleMania 34: Predicting Elias’s Role At The Show Of Shows

Elias has been on fire ever since he got called up to Raw, so there’s surely a spot for him on the WWE WrestleMania 34 card, right?

Who would’ve thought that Elias would be such a big star in WWE. This time last year Elias was hardly featured on NXT as nothing more than enhancement talent, and now he is in the main event of the Elimination Chamber PPV with a chance to headline WrestleMania 34.

Well, if we’re being realistic here, Elias isn’t going to come out of that Elimination Chamber match victorious. So, his WrestleMania spot won’t be a Universal Championship against Brock Lesnar, but will it actually be?

With marquee matches for WrestleMania starting to unfold and rumors swirling about matches including John Cena, Undertaker, AJ Styles, Ronda Rousey, Asuka, Stephanie McMahon, Roman Reigns, Lesnar, Kurt Angle, and potentially even the likes of Daniel Bryan or The Rock, it would be pretty difficult to find a match for someone like Elias on the main card.

So, let’s just have him not compete at WrestleMania 34. Now, before you panic and start booing this idea, hear me out: He’s still going to perform, just not in a match.

If we think about how Elias has gotten so big in WWE, it wasn’t because of his matches. It was because of his gimmick and concert segments. Elias is able to put the Entertainment in Sports Entertainment. In fact, we even recently discovered that WWE stands for Walk With Elias.

Elias is able to elicit thunderous cheers and immediately turn them into the loudest boos by how he plays his guitar and sings his songs. He always has the crowd in the palm of his hands, and his creative freedom allows him to have fun with the WWE Universe rather than stick to a script.

So, why not let Elias perform one of his concerts on the grandest stage of them all: WrestleMania. Just imagine how deafening the tens of thousands of boos will be once Elias starts to sing about how terrible New Orleans.

Then, in traditional WrestleMania fashion, a WWE legend or Hall of Famer could interrupt the concert creating a huge pop and WrestleMania moment. Just imagine The Rock coming out to sing to Elias only to leave him with a Rock Bottom, or Goldberg spearing him and then hitting him with a jackhammer.

Or, WWE’s newly announced inductee into the Hall of Fame class of 2018 could give Elias a taste of his own medicine. Jeff Jarrett could have his WrestleMania moment by bashing his guitar over the head of Elias.

See, Elias doesn’t need a match to have a WrestleMania moment. He just has to continue doing what he has done to get to superstardom. Yes, Elias will get beaten down in the segment, but no, he will not be “buried” from it.

Elias was not even apart of last year’s WrestleMania. So, to share the stage with one of WWE’s legends of the industry in his first should certainly be a great kickstart to his career. I mean, it’s either that or an unmemorable entry into the annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
