On Feb. 25, the very first women’s WWE Elimination Chamber match will be held at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. What will the historic event look like, and who takes home the grand prize?

Sunday, Feb. 25, the first ever women’s WWE Elimination Chamber match will be held at the Raw-branded Elimination Chamber pay-per-view in Paradise, Nevada.

Six women have been announced as entrants for the historic event: Bayley, Sasha Banks, Sonya Deville, Mandy Rose, Mickie James, and the defending champ, Alexa Bliss.

The record-breaking fight comes immediately after the first-ever women’s Money in the Bank match, and the first-ever women’s Royal Rumble match.

WWE fans have been less vocal about their appreciation for another step in the women’s evolution, which could finally mean the fans hold expectations, rather than gratitude. The women’s Royal Rumble match certainly made up for a botched women’s Money in the Bank match, but the WWE universe holds their breath for another potentially groundbreaking moment.

The women’s match holds the same concept and rules: locked into a steel structure, two randomly chosen superstars will start the bout, with the other four competitors locked in glass pods released in intervals around the squared circle.

Opponent eliminations occur by pinfall or submission, and disqualifications do not apply in the process of elimination.

The Elimination Chamber match usually lasts close to 30 minutes, and so competitors released later usually have the upper hand. It’s almost always nearly impossible to guess what WWE will do next, but let’s start the fantasy booking by picking our first two contenders.
