WWE WrestleMania 34: The Usos will Finally get Their Time to Shine

The Usos are the best tag team in the WWE, but a WrestleMania spot has always escaped them. After their latest run, it’ll be hard to deny them their time at WrestleMania 34.

Jimmy and Jey Uso have dominated the tag team scene on SmackDown Live for some time now. With WrestleMania 34 fast approaching the card will start filling up fast. Looking back at the last year, no team deserves a slot on the biggest night of the year than The Usos. They have had great feuds with The New Day, Gable & Benjamin, The Bar as well as every other team on the blue show. They have earned their ranking as the #1 team in the WWE.

At WrestleMania 33, The Usos competed in their sixth WrestleMania, all of which occurred on the pre-show. But the resume the brothers have put together since their reinvention and the opening of the  Uso Penitentiary HAS to earn them a main card appearance. When The Usos dropped the bright colors and face paint for a more realistic, and honestly, probably much closer to their actual selves, they salvaged their careers.

Who will get sentenced to the Uso Penitentiary at WrestleMania 34?

In recent weeks a team not even on the radar of most fans has begun to make waves, The Bludgeon Brothers. The team of Harper and Rowan have been trying to get some momentum since their return to the main roster in 2017. The Bludgeon Brothers have been targeting The Usos and those that have been tied to them. It may not be an exciting sounding match but if built correctly with the time between Fastlane and WrestleMania, it could work.

The other team that is right at the top of the list is The New Day. The two teams had a fantastic string of matches throughout 2017. At Fastlane, The New Day and Usos will face off once again for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. In what will surely be a barn burner, it just doesn’t seem like The Usos should lose the titles. So it seems as if The Usos will walk out of Fastlane as the reigning SmackDown Tag Team Champions.

The other plan that could be in place would be a multi-team match for the titles. The Uso’s recently defended the titles in a Fatal 5-Way at Clash of Champions. In true Mania fashion, WWE wants to get as many people on the card as possible and a multi-team match would be ideal. Again, we’d see Usos and New Day, probably add in the Bludgeon Brothers and possibly Gable & Benjamin to round out the match.

WrestleMania 34 will be a major test for The Usos. The Mania pre-show has haunted The Usos for six years. The Superdome could be the home and true crowning of The Usos as the top tag team in WWE. New Orleans, Louisiana could very well be the new home of the Uso Penitentiary.
