The March 5 edition of WWE Raw was a more inconsistent show than what the red brand has been putting on lately, but it did see several key WrestleMania-related moments.

Last night’s WWE Raw focused on the building of several feuds heading into WrestleMania 34 and might have laid the ground work for a key babyface turn heading into the grandest stage of them all.

WrestleMania 34 is just over a month away and despite a solid start, the red brand still has a lot of work to do in hyping up its matches and feuds.  Let’s take a look at five key takeaways from the March 5 edition of WWE Raw.

5. Braun Strowman Needs A Clearer WrestleMania Picture Moving Forward

The Monster Among Men Braun Strowman has spent the better part of the past year destroying his competition and laying waste to countless superstars.  He had a very impressive showing inside the Elimination Chamber a couple weeks ago, but did not emerge victorious.

Strowman’s momentum hasn’t wavered much over the past few months, but as WrestleMania season gets hot and heavy, his plans for the big show are still unclear.  Recent memory hasn’t cleared up the picture for Strowman either with several interactions with Elias, including last night.

The two battled in a Symphony of Destruction match with musical instruments surrounding the stage to be used.  And it was as entertaining as one might imagine with Strowman chasing Elias back into the arena before taking him out with a huge bass shot to the back.  The Monster Among Men won the match, but that still doesn’t help his WrestleMania plans out any.

There’s still no clear direction the WWE has Strowman going in for WrestleMania 34 and with just over a month until the show, that will have to change quickly.  There’s really nobody for Strowman to face right now unless he’s added to the Intercontinental Championship match because it seems highly unlikely the WWE will have Strowman face Elias again.  The company could have something else up its sleeve, but it needs to start taking shape if so.

Monday night’s Monster Among Men has been red-hot, but he needs to start finding a road to WrestleMania as the granddaddy of them all is getting closer and closer by the day.
