The countdown has begun! With about four weeks left before WrestleMania who are the shining stars on the WWE’s flagship show?

Gentle reader, is it just me or does the Raw roster’s Road to WrestleMania feel like my 74 year-old uncle is driving me to the podiatrist’s in his Toyota Celica? Let me nuance a little: I feel like the men’s roster’s buildup is confusing and a snoozefest, while the women’s division is sharp, intriguing and full of stories.

It’s not as if the episode was completely devoid of bright spots, but with four weeks left before WrestleMania, one would expect creative to get out of cruise control and shift into gear. The fastest gear. I don’t know what to tell you, I don’t know jack about cars. But I know about wrestling! Let’s get to Power Rankings!

10. Ronda Rousey

Finally! I can legitimately allow Rowdy Rousey Ronda Rowdy to break into my top ten rankings list thanks to her segment last Monday night. I won’t harp on the fact that it’s a segment that should have happened weeks ago because I might sound bitter and I should focus on the positives, or so says my therapist.

The positives were many! The biggest one, of course, was the fact that Ronda finally got physical and Samoan Dropped Stephanie McMahon in the ring. And it looked stiff, too.

Sure, her in-ring presence and mic work are still very much in need of sharpening. But just you wait till she starts cutting promos like Piper.

9. Kurt Angle

Since the Raw general manager has been inserted into a WrestleMania match and has therefore returned to active competition, it is my PLEASURE to also add Kurt Angle to this week’s rankings.

It was so refreshing to see assertive, ruthless aggression Kurt get into the ring with a chip on his shoulder, fed up with being pushed around by Triple H. No quivering out of fear for losing his job this week: we had our old Kurt Angle back.

There was no standing around with a goofy face waiting for a sucker punch this week. No, it was all about tosses and ankle locks to get caring about his WrestleMania match with Ronda Rousey. And boy, did it work.
