1. What lies ahead for Braun Strowman and Elias?

This week on Raw, Braun Strowman faced Elias in a Symphony of Destruction match. Weird as it sounds, it was yet another fun way to showcase Strowman. It was equally significant for Elias as well as he showcased his mastery of different musical instruments and got a nice bit of offense on the Monster Among Men.

However, Strowman clearly came out of this as the bigger monster and all signs point to him being done with Elias. I mean if flipping a damn piano over one’s opponent and getting a massive pin for the win doesn’t make it clear, what else will? Ideally, that’s good for both superstars too. Since WrestleMania is around the corner if these two men were to feud through the Shows of Shows, neither men would have come out with any additional momentum.

For Elias, it would have been a fight he was bound to lose. For Strowman, it would have merely been a win he could have picked up on a weekly edition of Raw the way he did on Monday. Instead, both men can move on to different feuds now. The question though, is what lies ahead for both men.

Anything other than the Universal title is below par for Strowman at this stage. There were rumors of a program between the Monster Among Men and the Miz for the IC title. However, now that the Miz will be facing both Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, Strowman is out of the equation. Will he simply be relegated to winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royale? In my opinion, that’s what they should have done with him last year.

Similarly, for Elias what will he do at WrestleMania this year? If the Rock decides to make an appearance though, I see Elias serenading the crowd with one of his performances before the People’s Champion makes his way to save the day. Simply put, a grander version of Elias’s interaction with Chris Jericho at Raw 25.

Sharing the stage with someone like the Rock is big for Elias, even if it means he has to job out to a part timer. Even still, is it the best use of his talents and abilities? Can’t creative come up with a meaningful storyline feud for him? It doesn’t have to do anything with the titles or the gold. It simply has to make sense. The same goes for Braun Strowman. May be someone from NXT decides to have a go at him. May be a returning Big Cass (hopefully in time for WrestleMania) tries to tame the Monster.

The future is bright for both Elias and Braun Strowman. However, their immediate future as far as WrestleMania 34 goes, seems to be covered in smoke and uncertainty. The biggest question right now is what lies ahead for these two potential mega stars of the future.
