On WWE Raw this week, a handful of superstars had a rough night. Who needs to turn things around quickly?
As much as we’d all like to think everything is sunshine, roses, and kittens, sometimes people hit a rough patch. It’s no different for WWE superstars. Sometimes, they’re just in a funk. After WWE Raw this week, there’s a few superstars who fall into this category.
This isn’t to say there’s no hope for these particular superstars to come back to the promised land. It’s WWE – things can change in a heartbeat. But at the present, here are three Raw superstars who are in need of a big boost in the coming weeks.
Tag Team Division
I feel kind of bad saying such a large chunk of the roster is a loser this week. But the fact of the matter is that even working together, five teams were overpowered by a single superstar.
Okay, in fairness, that one superstar was Braun Strowman. He’s kind of an impressive specimen. Still, 10-on-1 should result in at least a challenge for the loner. Instead, Braun won the tag team battle royal, and is probably but maybe not headed for WrestleMania.
Even taking the battle royal out of the equation, it wasn’t a great night for the tag division. The Miztourage basically gave up a chance at possibly earning a WrestleMania title match to instead brawl with The Bar. The Revival, The Club, Titus Worldwide, and Heath Slater and Rhyno joined the fray, with no one really gaining much of an advantage. Cesaro and Sheamus eventually ran away – good look by the champs – but ultimately, Strowman made sure nothing came of the brawl.
With a singles star winning a tag team battle royal – and perhaps challenging the tag champs at WrestleMania solo – the entire division takes a hit. It’s going to require some heavy lifting to rebuild things to where they need to be. But it can be done!
