Becky Lynch Has A Great Pun For Her ‘New Finisher’

Becky Lynch is on a bit of a hot streak on WWE SmackDown Live, and the “Lass Kicker” decided to give her beautiful (and effective) roll-ups a name.

Last night, Becky Lynch and Ruby Riott delivered what may have been the best women’s TV match on SmackDown Live since the brand split. Riott’s cheating and the Riott Squad’s presence actually added to the match instead of detracting from it, and the two unsurprisingly wrestled smoothly, leading some fans to hope for a lengthy feud between these two top-notch competitors.

In the end, Lynch picked up the victory with a roll-up. This marks the second time she’s defeated Riott in 2018, and it’s also yet another singles victory for Lynch on SmackDown Live. She remains undefeated in singles matches this year, despite taking pins in tag matches due to the unrelenting underhanded tactics of the heels.

Later that night, Lynch picked up another victory via a roll-up, but this time it came in the semifinals of the Mixed Match Challenge. The fans picked Becky to replace Charlotte Flair, who was unable to wrestle after undergoing surgery for a gum infection, and she did so with aplomb. Becky teamed up with Bobby Roode to defeat the heralded duo of Finn Balor and Sasha Banks, who were voted back into the tournament after being eliminated earlier.

Note that even though Lynch and Roode picked up the victory when Becky rolled up Sasha, it appears that Lynch’s involvement was only a one-time thing as Charlotte’s replacement. The Miz and Asuka are still scheduled to face Charlotte and Roode, the “Robe Warriors”, in the finals of the Mixed Match Challenge next Tuesday. This is especially interesting because the undefeated Asuka and Charlotte will fight for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 34 in what will be one of the most anticipated matches of the night.

Because Lynch won two matches in one night with roll-ups, a fan on Twitter joked that Becky is the “queen of the roll-up”. Becky, of course, didn’t miss a beat, proclaiming the move the “Lynch pin”, further joking that it is her “new finisher”.

Even though she’s joking, it’s still a better finisher than the Bayley-to-Belly. #SorryNotSorry
