John Cena Saved Roman Reigns From The Bar (Video)
On the last episode of WWE Raw before WrestleMania 34, John Cena was stood up by the Undertaker yet again, leaving his status for ‘Mania uncertain. However, that didn’t stop Cena from continuing to spread the love, as he saved Roman Reigns from Sheamus and Cesaro after Raw went off the air.
Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar is fully expected to be the main event of WWE WrestleMania 34, and the smart money is on Reigns to vanquish the Beast Incarnate, who has held the Universal Championship for more than a year ever since he defeated Goldberg at WrestleMania 33.
The build for the match between Reigns and Lesnar continued last night on the final episode of Raw before WrestleMania. In the main event of the show, Paul Heyman came out and talked a big game about his client before Reigns made his presence felt. After hitting Lesnar with a bevy of Superman Punches, Reigns was put to the ground by a single F5, which has been a weekly occurrence at this point.
After the show went off the air, the opportunistic Sheamus and Cesaro decided to try and pick on the bones that Lesnar left behind. They enter the ring and attacked Reigns, but guess who showed up to even the odds? John Cena.
The footage of the encounter was uploaded to YouTube below, and a big hat tip goes to WrestlingNews.Co for finding this.
Cena went after Cesaro, and he hit both members of The Bar with a lil’ Five-Knuckle Shuffle after Reigns delivered a Superman Punch to Sheamus. Then, Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment on Cesaro and Reigns hit a Spear on Sheamus at the same time, making this moment from both of the WWE’s top stars all the more special in front of an Atlanta crowd that roundly cheered both controversial superstars.
It must have been awesome for the live crowd to see these two working together and celebrating together before WrestleMania, and this crowd definitely made this show feel more special. They roundly applauded the all-out effort from Seth Rollins and Finn Balor, they provided a lot of energy to fuel Cena in his segment calling out the Undertaker, and they helped make Reigns feel like more of a badass in his segment with Lesnar to close out the show.

Of course, Cena helped Reigns out now, but the two have a bitter history after their feud for No Mercy. Reigns won that match, but he took the majority of the heavy verbal blows during their promo battles. The story between these two hasn’t exactly been completed, but, again, this was a fun moment after Raw went off the air.
