WWE 205 Live takes its last stop on the road to WrestleMania this week. Did the brand have any last minute surprises in store for us?

205 Live has been quite the ride on the road to WrestleMania. The success of the Cruiserweight Championship tournament has even led to a fan petition starting to move the title match between Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali from the WrestleMania kick-off show to the main show on Sunday night.

With the tournament having now finished on weekly programming, the show has had to shift gear the last two weeks and place its focus on some of its smaller feuds. The ongoing rivalry between the team of Hideo Itami and Akira Tozawa and the Luchadore team of Kalisto, Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik is likely to conclude in the Cruiserweight tag team titles being introduced after Mania, while the brand has also established Buddy Murphy as the number 1 contender to whoever the new Cruiserweight champion is going to be.

The show has been on a fine run of form over the last six weeks, but with the Cruiserweight Championship tournament not eating up the majority of the show’s time, the real test begins now. Could the brand continue to deliver on its WrestleMania go home show? Let’s break down this week’s show and find out.
