2. The Mind Games Between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura

One of the most anticipated WWE Championship matches in WrestleMania history is on deck this Sunday when AJ Styles defends his title against 2018 Royal Rumble winner Shinsuke Nakamura.  This is a match that the WWE universe has fantasized about since the two arrived in the WWE a couple years ago.

Their previous battle in NJPW was outstanding, but given how this will be on the grandest stage of them all for the WWE Championship, this version could wind up being an all-time great WrestleMania match.  Adding more to the match has been the storyline and feud leading up to WrestleMania 34 which has been simple, but very effective.

These two top babyfaces haven’t turned to shady techniques like heels normally would, but their feud has been built on competitive fire and wanting to be the best.  One element, in particular, has helped the feud out in terms of mind games.  The King Of Strong Style has tried getting in the head of The Phenomenal One by saying he’s too emotional and that will cost him.

Nakamura has worked at getting in Styles’ head, but on the most recent edition of SmackDown, Styles returned the favor by attempting to hit Nakamura with a phenomenal forearm, only to stop just before landing it.  Much like what Nakamura did to Styles the previous week when he stopped just before hitting Styles with a kinshasa.  The feud has been simple, but that’s exactly what it needed to be.

The match should be a classic, but the storyline leading up to it has been particularly impressive in its own right.
