3. Kairi Sane

Well this is the obvious choice. Outside of Moon, Sane is the only person to have defeated Baszler in the WWE. As mentioned in the opening slide, she took out the champ with her patented Insane Elbow to take home the Mae Young Classic crown back in July. But Baszler, ever the heel, couldn’t let that loss go and exacted revenge on Sane on the December 27th episode of NXT. Just two months later the two squared off once again in the ring, this time Baszler evening up their series one apiece against each other. But in true Baszler fashion, a win wasn’t good enough as she continued her assault on Sane after the bell. There’s clearly some bad blood still there.

If you’re looking for another reason that Sane deserves to be in the title picture, look no further than her resume. A six year veteran of the sport, “The Pirate Princess” spent her pre-WWE years dominating World Wonder Ring Stardom, one of the top female wrestling promotions in Japan. All in all, Sane won nine championships in Stardom including the World of Stardom Championship, their top prize.

And that success has continued in NXT. Not only did she take home the first Mae Young Classic, but since arriving, she’s produced a 47-12 record (cagematch.net) and has soundly defeated the majority of the female NXT roster.

This pairing makes sense for a lot of reasons. Not only do the two have history, not only does Sane deserve the chance based on her accomplishments before and during her NXT run, but these two really are the perfect yin and yang to each other. Baszler, with her bad girl persona and Sane with her fiery baby face side, are a perfect pro wrestling matchup and could produce fireworks in the ring. The very next TakeOver show would be a perfect time for them to square off. Let’s hope it happens.
