The Superstar Shakeup is one of the most exciting times of the year for WWE fans, and the WWE Universe is always excited to see which NXT stars will blossom on the main roster.

Last year, the WWE had a rough time integrating its NXT stars into the main roster product. Samoa Joe shined due to his work on the mic, which overshadowed his lack of marquee victories, but some of NXT’s biggest stars struggled to find their footing on the main roster in 2017.

Shinsuke Nakamura’s first two feuds with Dolph Ziggler and Jinder Mahal did little to boost his stock, though all was forgiven with his incredible Royal Rumble victory in 2018. Meanwhile, Bobby Roode still doesn’t feel special, and he’ll likely need to turn heel on Raw in order for that to change.

Even though the WWE botched introducing some of its NXT call-ups last year, that shouldn’t prevent fans from being optimistic about the futures of this year’s NXT call-ups. The likes of Drew McIntyre and Ember Moon made their highly-anticipated main roster debuts during WWE Superstar Shakeup 2018, and there’s hope that these former champions in NXT can carve successful futures on the main roster, even if the product is very different.

So let’s rank the NXT call-ups in order of how well they fit their new situations on the main roster. This list isn’t ranking the superstars from worst to first, because that would be too easy. No, situation and expectations have to be considered, and that may lead to some surprises.
