1. Drew McIntyre

Did anyone else hear the audible groan from the fans in Hartford Monday night when Dolph Ziggler was unveiled as a new member of RAW? Better question, did anyone hear the even louder noises of disapproval when The Titus Brand came to ringside? And maybe the coolest question. Did anyone hear the fans go absolutely berzerk when Drew McIntyre came from the crowd and decimated Titus O’Neil and Apollo Crews? Because that was legit.

Now, is teaming Ziggler the best thing for McIntyre? No. In fact it doesn’t really even make much sense. So let’s hope McIntyre drops Ziggler soon and ventures off on his own because based on the crowd’s reaction Monday night, the sky may be the limit for the 32 year-old Scot.

And it makes sense. Everyone loves a good redemption story. Almost nine years ago, McIntyre debuted on SmackDown and was dubbed by Vince McMahon himself as “a future world champion”. Four months later he had captured Intercontinental gold. However, nothing McIntyre did ever seemed to get over. Call it being too young, being pushed too fast, or just that he didn’t have the charisma to be a huge star, the shine that was once on massive prospect faded very quickly. Within two years of his debut, McIntyre was subjected to the lower card where he very rarely, if ever won a match. His final two years of his first run with the company were in 3 Man Band, a stable that also feature Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal. They were pretty bad.

But after getting released by the WWE, going to the independent circuit, winning the TNA Championship, and subsequently getting into the best shape of his life, “The Celtic Colossus” returned to WWE in April of 2017 and within four months, won the NXT Championship.

McIntyre may not have been world championship material nine years ago, but make no mistake, he is now. He’s become a monster, gaining a tremendous amount of muscle and shockingly, even 30 pounds heavier he looks more athletic. This guy is ready for massive things and at 32 years old, he’s just hitting his prime. Watch out blue brand, “The Prodigal” son is home.
