4. The IIconics vs. Asuka And Becky Lynch

Both women’s divisions on the main roster in the WWE underwent a bit of a makeover courtesy of the superstar shakeup.  One of those key additions to the blue brand was Asuka coming over from Raw, but a pair of NXT call-ups have already left a big mark on Tuesday nights.

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, The IIconics, have directly led to a new SmackDown Women’s Champion already in their short time on the brand.  And last night, they made another mark when they competed in tag team action against Becky Lynch and Asuka in The Empress Of Tomorrow’s first match on the blue brand.

The match went solidly for the majority of it with both teams showing out at times.  The heelish ways of Royce and Kay were on full display as well, including a pre-match promo that they have become so accustomed to.  Those heelish ways would end up paying dividends for The IIconics when they caught Lynch by surprise.

Royce got Lynch to hit the ring post and then rolled her up to get the cheap win after putting her feet on the rope.  The IIconics have already proven to be a valuable duo on SmackDown and that’s a positive sign for the future.  It’s too bad Lynch had to take the pin like she has so many times before, but the match itself was pretty good other than that.

Royce and Kay are out to make trouble on Tuesday nights and that trend continued last night against The Irish Lass Kicker and The Empress Of Tomorrow.
