With support growing for a WWE Women’s Tag Team division, these are some ideas for teams and factions that could make an impact in the organization.

Women’s wrestling has gone through a transition in the last few years due to an increased respect to what the female athletes bring to the ring. The “Women’s Revolution” as it was coined, helped place talents such as Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch and others in the forefront – garnering the same type of accolades that come with their male counterparts. We’ve seen the Women’s Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber matches, Hell in the Cell and more main event slots on Monday Night Raw. This is the type of exposure that trailblazers like Lita, Trish Stratus, Jacqueline and others fought for when women’s wrestling wasn’t what it is today.

Fans have started speculating more about the possible development of a women’s tag team division. If that is the case, there are a lot of different pairings that we could witness within the WWE. This list looks at some of the top pairings that would create interesting teams that allow for long term storylines. Some of these pairings are groups that may sound familiar while others are teams that wrestling fans would not see coming. Either way, there’s a lot of opportunity for creativity to shine through in building the WWE Women’s tag team division.
