April 2018 was a marquee month for the WWE NXT brand, let’s take a look at which stars shone the brighest

April has been a great month to be a wrestling fan. The WWE treated us to two mega shows in WrestleMania 34, and The Greatest Royal Rumble, while various other promotions, including the likes of ROH and NJPW have provided us with some excellent shows during the month as well.

The best show of the month, though, hands down, was WWE NXT Takeover: New Orleans. The WWE’s ‘developmental’ brand showed the main roster how it should be done on April 7th, delivering one of the finest PPV events in WWE history. The card, which featured two five-star rated Wrestling Observer matches, was incredible from top to bottom and provided fans with many memorable moments, far eclipsing the quality of WrestleMania 34.

After struggling for parts in early 2017, NXT has really found its feet again now, and the product is arguably better than it has ever been.  The brand just keeps throwing out match of the year candidates and features several superstars who are destined for greatness in the WWE for years to come. So, who is currently the cream of the crop in NXT? Let’s take a look back through April and power rank the top 10 NXT superstars of the month.
