4. The Riott Squad Already In Better Position On Raw Than Previously On SmackDown

A trio of talented women that just never quite clicked on their previous show was The Riott Squad.  This group had all the potential to be a dominant force on Tuesday nights, but as victims of poor booking, Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan never resonated the way they should have.

The Riott Squad coming over to Monday nights via the superstar shakeup seemed like a positive move to help revitalize the trio’s career, and so far, so good.  The trio’s first night on the show saw them lay out both Sasha Banks and Bayley, two of the top women’s competitors in the WWE today who have been feuding with each other over the past couple months.

And last night saw Riott battle Banks in one-on-one action that arguably ranks among the best women’s matches of the year.  It was a very good match that saw both Banks and Riott get in plenty of impressive action with counters and a lot more.  Morgan and Logan tried making their presence felt on multiple occasions and while they ultimately didn’t affect Banks much, it still ended up costing The Boss.

Riott would knock off Banks cleanly and get a huge win.   This could be a defining moment for Riott and her group and should be used as a launchpad towards future success.  In just a short amount of time on the red brand, The Riott Squad is already in a better position than what it was on the blue brand and the trio feels more legit from top to bottom.

Hopefully the WWE doesn’t drop the ball with this group again, but so far so good on their new brand.
