Miz TV With Jeff Hardy

Before The Miz enters, Paige notes that Shane McMahon isn’t here after crashing into a table at the Greatest Royal Rumble, and she also adds that the WWE Championship match at Backlash between AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura will be No Disqualification.

He hypes up his upcoming match at Backlash against Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Champion, burying Raw as the “B” show. Oh it’s true. It’s damn true.

The Miz then tried to pit Hardy and Randy Orton against each other, because Jeff interrupted Orton when “The Viper” tried to answer Shelton Benjamin’s “Open Challenge” a couple of weeks ago. There may be some bad blood brewing, but I have a feeling it will be The Miz who eats an RKO at the end of the segment. As Finn Balor says, Miz TV always ends up with The Miz getting his ass kicked by someone.

Instead of playing into The Miz’s master plan, Orton stated that he and Jeff aren’t on bad terms. He doesn’t see how Hardy disrespected him at all. The Miz then pulled Jinder Mahal’s old trick of referring to the SmackDown Top 10 list, to which Orton replied that he doesn’t think anyone cares about any top ten list (amen).

As The Miz is chastising Orton for not being “The Viper”, Shelton Benjamin’s music hit. He started yelling about how Orton “doesn’t deserve a damn thing” after he defeated The Apex Predator last week.

Grade: D, this was a terrible segment that did nothing for anybody. I can’t wait for Backlash to be over so we can get some better programs. Also, SmackDown needs to do better than this with a guy as talented as The Miz. Reusing a failed Jinder promo? C’mon, folks.
