AJ Styles Addresses Shinsuke Nakamura

AJ Styles stated that Shinsuke Nakamura ruined WrestleMania for him, he ruined Daniel Bryan vs. AJ for the fans, and he tried to take out Karl Anderson. The Phenomenal One called Nakamura a “coward” who attacks him from behind and below the belt. So yeah, he refused to apologize to “The Con Artist/Cheapshot Artist” – and rightfully so.

Styles wanted Nakamura out there, but Samoa Joe’s music hit instead. And you could feel the entire arena shake just from Joe’s very presence.

Joe tells Styles and the fans that they should be focused on his match against Roman Reigns instead. When he calls Reigns a “failure”, the crowd, obviously, goes nuts.

He adds that no matter who wins the WWE Championship, he will beat them down and take the title for himself. After Joe is done gloating, Nakamura’s new heel theme hits, and Joe turns around to prepare to beat Shinsuke up himself.

Instead, Nakamura ends up in the ring and attacks Styles from behind with yet another low blow.

As Styles bends down in pain, Nakmaura just stares at him coughing. As Styles starts to get up, he fakes hitting him with a Kinsasha from behind…only to hit him with a Kinsasha Knee Strike right in front of his face.

Heel Nakamura is incredible!

Grade: A, this segment was tremendous on all counts, and I’m absolutely loving the build to this WWE Championship match at Backlash.
